Bert’s Blessing

Named after departed friend, Albert Chrisman, Bert’s Blessing is our Cessna 172 project plane. Acquired from a business in south Texas in 2008, Burt’s Blessing will be our advanced trainer and mission ready ship when the airframe restoration is completed.

There is a lot of work yet to be done on this airplane. If you want to help with the restoration, join us for the Second Saturday Work Days.

Albert E. Chrisman was born July 18, 1929 in Noel, Missouri and went home to be with the Lord on July 4, 2008. He served in the U.S. Air Force and Air Force Reserves and retired as Full Colonel after thirty-two years of service. He also served as Director for Wings For Christ for a number of years and received his pilot’s license at the age of 60. Bert was passionate in helping others succeed. He touched many lives, was loved by many and is greatly missed.
