To All Wings For Christ:
I'd like to thank everyone for all your help making Saturday's fly-in a great day. God blessed us with awesome weather. The food was great, the runway looked great, the building completion was great, the guest speakers were great, and on an on. I'd like to particularly thank the Hulls and their staff for doing an outstanding job with the food. Thank you to all the people like Al, Albert, Joel, Cheryl, Chuck, and Don who helped setup and cleanup, which are truly the thankless jobs. Thank you to Alton Boyett, Joel New, Larry Witt, Phil Hull, and others that I'm sure I don't realize their role in ensuring the runway, taxiways, and parking were ready. I think the runway looked better than I've ever seen it. Thank you to the EAA Chap 59 for loaning us tables and chairs (will be returned on Monday or Tuesday) and to the many EAA members who helped out such as parking airplanes. Thank you to Monte, Sean, Glenn, and John for giving us a good report on ministry activities.
We received about $1200 in donations, had an experienced CFII offer his services for training students, and talked with several prospective flight students.
Great job, everyone !
Mike Majors
Wings For Christ instrument student Sean Gathright passed his instrument checkride on Saturday 3/24/06 ! Sean called Mike Majors that night after the exam and said it was his best flight yet. Mike talked to FAA Designated Examiner John Foster today (Monday) who told him Sean did an excellent job. Thanks to everybody who has helped get Sean through the program, and especially Charles Henry and Speegleville Christian Center for the use of their instrument capable C172.
At Wings, our “feet” are usually in the shape of airplanes, and the Good News of Jesus is being sent out through your support. Wings pilot Monte Michael transported “Rio Grand Missionary Help” Pastors Bill Waldrop, Rick Palmer, and Kelle Hein to a conference in, OK then back to Loredo, TX. Below, the Snyder and Hull families greet them as they take a rest stop at TSTC airport.

WFC has been serving local pastors of Waco Christian Fellowship by transporting them on a monthly basis to their healing center in Branson, MO. Here not only will believers come from all over to receive healing promised to them in the scriptures, but the heart of this project is for those who are lost and to lift up the name of Jesus Christ that He will draw all men to Himself. WFC also was privileged with the task of getting Evangelist David Allen to a conference in Guadalajara, MX where he addressed and encouraged a great number of pastors.
Pilot Training continues as Ron Snyder closes in on his license, Brent Boyco finishes his air time, and Michael Cates begins his quest to offer air support to his uncles’ quarterly mission trips into Africa’s Congo. Several trips were also made to Edinburg, TX to continue training with Kenneth Carpenter (World Harvest Family Church) and Glenn Weid (Missionary to Galliana)

Pastor’s Ken and Susan Stone and daughter Hanna were flown to a conference in Del Rio. They arrived in a few short hours refreshed and able to teach, preach, and broadcast by radio before Monte flew them back to their home in Clayton, NM.

Haley Hull in the driver’s seat of Chihuahuan Connection 18 Wheeler
Well, it’s all in the transportation business! What a great thing to see the Body of Christ work together. Wing’s Monte Michael & Phil Hull (along with support team, Haley Hull) transport a semi trailer of food from Jackson, MS to El Paso, TX for Rick Caywood’s Chihuahuan Connection. This “sister- ministry” is born out of the same heart as WFC and takes the gospel to the world by supplying food to boarder ministries that have a passion for Christ and taking care of the poor. On other trips we helped deliver a shipping container of food to Miami FL, for the hurricane struck Island of Granada, a huge Walk-in freezer to a food distribution center in Houston, and food to Laredo, Harlingen, and Quemado.

Women of Purim Retreat hosted by the Snyder’s Gloryland Ministries featured a prayer flight over Waco and the “Southern White House” in Crawford, TX. This retreat launched Wings into 8 new ministry contacts, began monthly prayer flights over Waco, and kicked off a chain of prayer flights over several Texas and Louisiana cities.

Wings scheduled all day flights over McLennan County and President Bush’s Ranch to battle in prayer for our county, churches, fellow residents, schools, leaders, and country. Several churches and denominations participated to help bring unity to the Body of Christ. It is a very powerful thing to soak an area in prayer from the air. Wings also traveled to Lake Charles, LA the following week on May 10th to conduct prayer flights with local pastors and prayer intercessors. Special thanks to pilots and aircraft owners who provided planes and piloted them: Mike Majors, Pastor Charles Henry, Al Hoekstra; thanks to Ron and Sue Snyder who provided their plane and helped host the day, and thanks to other pilots Russell Vanhooser & Monte Michael.

Wings For Christ Board Names Missions Coordinator -
Wings For Christ would like to introduce the Monte Michael family. The Wings Board of Directors has responded to continuous needs on the mission field in the southern United States and Central America. Monte has a long history of Christian service in aviation through his efforts with his church, Wings For Christ, and other local ministries.

Therefore in light of God’s calling to this need, and Monte’s exceptional qualifications in the ministry and as a commercial pilot and flight instructor, Wings For Christ has called Monte and his wife Sandy to the full time staff position of Missions Coordinator. His duties include:
- Evangelism and ministry support, such as transporting speakers to revivals and conferences -
- Transporting supplies and people to and from remote locations -
- Networking with other missionaries and relief groups to identify ways to assist and support other missionaries in the field -
- Training missionary pilots -
- Maintaining a network of pilots and aircraft owners to support mission transport needs -
- Preaching and organizing missionary trips for other church groups
For example, in support of other missionaries in the field, Monte flew down to McAllen and picked up Chihuahuan Connection driver Jim Richards and delivered him to Waco in 2.5 hours, where he was rested, fresh, and ready to drive a semi-trailer to Oklahoma City. There he was able to pick up 43,000 lbs of milk and deliver to food pantries along the Mexican border. If Monte had not be able to fly Jim, and meet the need in that window of opportunity, the milk supply would have been diverted to other locations and not have met the needs of the most needy people. During this same time, Sandy got involved with a clothing ministry called Ministeros Vision Christiana who collect clothing from local churches and distribute to needy Indians in the Mexican interior. These trips not only serve those in need but expand the ministry through additional contacts with those on the front lines on the missionary field. People like Monte and Sandy are needed to maintain the lines of supply and communication with the home churches, prayer partners, and supporters.
Monte and Sandy currently live in Franklin, TX with their children Robert, Eric, Ruth, Issac, and Andrew. They are active in their home church at Franklin Worship Center where they help with praise and worship. Sandy is involved in the Ladies Ministry of Prayer and is a prayer counselor with Harvest Laborers Ministry. Monte was saved in 1972, licensed to preach at First Baptist Church, Franklin, TX in 1978, and ordained as a minister in Grace Gospel Church in Axtell, TX in 1988.
Monte and Sandy have a wonderful heart for serving others and especially want to focus on evangelism. They believe that all the ministry efforts are really about saving souls. They want to be on the front lines of spreading the Gospel, as the tip of the spear. They are encouraged by the verses:
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed ? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard ? And how shall they hear without a preacher ? And how shall they preach, except they be sent ? As it is written, how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things ! (Romans 10:13-15)
Monte and Sandy need your support through Wings For Christ to continue spreading the Gospel through aviation, supporting our missionaries, and serving those in need. They invite you to join their team as prayer partners and with your regular financial support. Please contact Monte at 979-828-2920 or memfly@hotmail.com to find out how you can be involved in God’s work.

Congratulations to Gary Brown who passed his checkride Monday, December 7, 2002.
"I started my adventure in aviation December 14, 2001 and soloed on February 7, 2002. What an exciting moment in my life; One that I will never forget. It has been a dream of mine since I was just a young kid to one day fly and thanks to Wings for Christ it is now a reality. Who would ever have thought a 47 year old would have a boyhood dream come true, However that is the kind of God that we serve, praise the Lord.
The sky is the limit as to how God can and will use me in the air. We have a huge ministry for the youth in the Bahamas and surrounding Islands with Bro Bob Bolton, he is always looking for pilots to help. There is a Pilot here in Waco who goes over there for weeks at a time. Also we have a commission to Mexico every year in which we take 400-600 College students into Mexico. Many trips to Mexico takes place prior to the event. Now I will be able to help in transportation .
I also have a new ministry that I am trying to develop that will entail some traveling. So as I said in the onset the sky is the limit, I want to make myself available to the Lord so he can use to enhance His Kingdom."
Pastor Gary Brown, Pilot.
Chili & Cornbread Fly-In: Saturday's Chili, Good Beans and Wives Cornbread "Fly-In" raised just over $2,000 in donations. A very special THANK YOU to everyone who donated. We would also like to thank the many volunteers who cleaned, cooked and served. The lunch was followed by a short presentation on current Wings activities and we heard from a couple of our student pilots. For more picture of the event click here.
November's Airport Workday - "Gracie Bird" gets an annual. Several volunteers showed Saturday, despite the wet conditions, to assist in removing seats, inspection plates, wing tips, and general clean-up. While some worked on Gracie, other cut grass and began cleaning the maintenance shop. Click on images for more information about Gracie Bird. Remember, work days are the first Saturday of the month from 8 a.m. - Noon. See you there.....
